Full Time
Exciting opportunity for a motivated research fellow to join the Hodi Lab.
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow who will lead the investigation and be responsible for the conduct of laboratory-based research in immune therapy for cancer.
Responsibilities
The project will investigate the role of angiogenesis in immune regulation and homing.
This work will strive to improve understanding of the interplay of angiogenesis and immune checkpoint blockade as well as other immune therapy interventions.
Much of the project focus will involve the role of tumor endothelium as the gatekeeper to the tumor microenvironment and immune regulation.
This work involves skills that include sterile tissue culture, performing immunologic screens for novel targets, and validating novel biologically based therapeutic targets.
The development of novel immunologic techniques and applying novel technologies will be included in this effort.
Collaboration with pathologists for correlations with tissue imaging and with computational biologists is expected.
Much of the work will include utilization of human tissues and samples for in vitro work and modeling.
In addition, some animal work may be involved.
