As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our leadership team and drive our operational success.
Job Description: The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Southern Holiday Homes, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and a high standard of service across all departments. The COO will work closely with the CEO and executive team to develop and implement strategic initiatives, streamline processes, and foster a culture of excellence. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in operations, hospitality, and team management.
Key Responsibilities: Operational Leadership:
Oversee all operational aspects of the company, including property management, guest services, maintenance, and housekeeping - ensuring consistent and high-quality service delivery. Strategic Planning:
Collaborate with the CEO to develop and execute long-term business strategies that align with company goals and drive growth. Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop department heads and their teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the guest experience. Customer Satisfaction:
Ensure that all guest and property owner interactions are handled with the highest level of professionalism, responsiveness, and care. Compliance & Safety:
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards, including safety protocols and best practices. Preferred Qualifications: Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the hospitality or property management industry. Leadership:
Proven track record of successful leadership and team management, with the ability to inspire and motivate others. Financial Acumen:
Solid understanding of financial management, budgeting, and reporting. Communication:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to challenges. Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
