This leader should have 10+ years’ experience in Compensation Plan Design, Enterprise Sales, Sales Operations, Program Management, Analytics and Insights, and/or Sales Strategy Consultancy.
Key Job Responsibilities:- Independently lead sales compensation incentive design from concept to execution for global sales team(s)- Drive leadership discussions across matrix organizations about sales strategy and sales incentives, influencing at high levels of the organization and using data analysis with compensation best practices to ensure agreements are reached.- Act as a trusted advisor and internal consultant to sales leadership on sales strategies, enabling outcomes through sales compensation incentive design and implementation.- Orchestrate sales compensation incentive design process, ensuring partner and stakeholder participation, as well as timely decisions/conclusions, so downstream processes can be completed.- Propose and present ideas effectively, in writing and verbally to influence decisions, senior decision makers, and outcomes within tight timelines.- Use data and analysis to model sales compensation incentive design impacts and make recommendations leveraging sales plan mechanics.- Ensure sales compensation incentive plans are implementable via tools, process, and controls.
About the Team:The Global Sales Compensation (GSC) team is a vital partner to our global sales organization. We lead the design, administration, and continual optimization of incentive plans that motivate our field teams. As Amazon Web Services (AWS) continues its rapid growth, the Sales Compensation Strategy Team within GSC plays an important role in scaling processes and enabling strategy through sales compensation incentive design in support of thousands of sellers across numerous industries, geographies, and product lines.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, or related field- 10+ years of sales compensation or equivalent experience- 10+ years experience in data modeling and analysis using software packages such as Microsoft Excel or equivalent- Experience in envisioning, defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Qualifications:- Extensive writing experience to drive senior leadership decisions- Experience working in large or highly matrixed organization, preferably in the technology industry.- Experience using Salesforce (or other CRM tools) or BI tools.
