work remote .POSITION SUMMARYWe are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of People to join our executive team. The VP of People will be responsible for shaping and executing our human resources strategy, driving organizational effectiveness, and fostering a culture that promotes employee engagement, growth, and satisfaction. This role requires a visionary leader who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, scaling organization.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESStrategic Business Partnering:Develop and implement a comprehensive people strategy aligned with company goals.Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive team on all people-related matters.Lead organizational design and change management initiatives to support company growth.Drive initiatives to develop leadership capabilities within the organization.Talent Acquisition and Management:Oversee talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent.Implement robust onboarding processes to ensure a seamless integration of new hires.Develop and execute talent management programs, including performance management, career development and succession planning.Promote continuous learning and professional development opportunities, including creating and implementing learning and development programs.Employee Engagement and Culture:Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with UpKeep’s values and mission.Design and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention.Act as a champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) across the organization.Compensation and Benefits:Develop competitive compensation and benefits strategies to attract and retain top talent.Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.Regularly review and update compensation structures to maintain market competitiveness.HR Operations and Compliance:Oversee all HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS management.Ensure the organization’s HR policies and procedures are current, compliant, and effectively communicated.Manage employee relations issues with a fair and consistent approach.EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree or HR certification is a plus.Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.Proven track record of developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives in a high-growth environment.Strong knowledge of global employment laws and regulations.Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Experience with HRIS and other HR technologies.Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.At UpKeep, we celebrate and support our differences.
