Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) is hiring a Student Services Analyst for the Achieving a College Education (ACE) and Hoop of Learning (HOL) programs. This position coordinates, administers, and implements EMCC's Hoop of Learning and ACE Programs by providing operational planning, program management, and evaluation, direct student service delivery, as well as problem resolution and technical assistance. This position will support the college's strategic enrollment initiatives by serving as the Hoop of Learning and ACE community liaison providing outreach services to middle schools, high schools, community agencies, organizations, and business/industry sections to promote enrollment/retention of ACE and HOL students in Estrella Mountain Community College.

Essential Functions

40% Develops, plans, implements, and coordinates campus-based enrichment programs for current students within the Achieving a College Education (ACE) and Hoop of Learning Program (HOL) in all student services processes including; academic advisement, admissions, data entry, registration, orientation, testing, mentoring, financial aid, campus tours, recruitment, and retention activities; assists students regarding degree and graduation requirements, various certificate programs, university transfer requirements, corresponds with students to resolve problems related to student service functions; tracks academic and program progress from intake through program completion. Liaises with high school Administrators and Counselors to provide information regarding the ACE and HOL program guidelines, and student eligibility and to recruit students. Works with Academic Advisement to create Field of Interest-specific course pathways for students and request class sections to be created. Performs strategic planning to administer program management, evaluation, and problem resolution to meet deadlines and implement program functions and activities. Develops assessments and surveys, analyzes and interprets data to determine program and student learning outcomes and progress to measure student and program success. Design, develop, maintain, and evaluate materials and communication mediums for program promotion, recruitment, resource information, presentations, and correspondence. Creates and analyzes program reviews and organizes and distributes information as necessary. Performs case management of over 270 students within the ACE and HOL program. Case management includes tracking grades, class progress, providing guidance and mentoring to students to successfully complete courses and persist in the program. Advises the cohorts of students on courses for degree/certification completion and Field of Interest exploration.

20% Creates, manages, and implements multiple budgets for ACE and Hoop of Learning for tuition/scholarship funds and program administration. Creates requisitions, purchase orders, and manages ProCard. Purchases supplies, books, food, and transportation (charter buses) for both the ACE and Hoop of Learning Programs. Monitors and applies scholarship funds to student accounts, reviews student eligibility for scholarships for ACE and HOL. Reviews student eligibility for Dual Enrolment Maricopa Grant. Responsible for budget projections, end-of-year reports, and reconciliation. Liaises with financial aid and student business services/cashiers to manage scholarship distribution and tracking. Checks student accounts when a debit/credit has been noted; reach out to the student to discuss changes to the student account.

15% Enforces and/or explains federal, state, district, college and/or local policies including: Maricopa Student Rights and Responsibilities, Fiscal Purchasing and Travel regulations, Maricopa Grant guidelines, Maricopa Academic Catalog, Residency Laws, and FERPA. Provides information to students, parents, and other stakeholders regarding various student services and academic/occupational/workforce development programs. Assists students in program planning and course selection through the interpretation of multiple placement methods, prerequisites, and the Maricopa Academic Catalog. Administers Admissions and Registration functions including: Residency Laws, ID Verification, and maintaining FERPA.

15% Provides coaching and guidance to part-time student success coaches and students within the ACE and HOL Program. Conducts probation and stop-out meetings. Delegates tasks and provides first-level supervision to part-time workers. Plans, organizes, and assigns the work of colleagues and student worker staff to meet program and project deadlines.

10% Assists with special projects as assigned commensurate to the grade level of the position. Assists with other early college programs and recruitment to represent the college in various recruitment activities, events, student services activities, and retention-based programming, both on and off campus.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in education, sociology, business administration or a related field and two (2) years of full-time equivalent progressively responsible student services experience coordinating, administering, planning, or evaluating programs.

OR

Associate's degree in a related field and four (4) years of full-time equivalent progressively responsible student services experience coordinating, administering, planning, or evaluating programs.

Desired Qualifications

A. Master's degree

B. One (1) or more years of experience providing cohort academic or career advising

C. One (1) year ofexperience using technology to support academic advising, student success, student learning and/or career advising

D. One (1) year of experience working in early college and/or recruitment within higher education or working with high school students in an academic/career advising position

E. One (1) year of experience working with federal and state requirements/compliance (e.g., lawful presence/residency determination, FERPA, etc.)

F. One (1) year of experience delivering presentations to large groups

G. One (1) year experience working with cohorts of students and identifying and implementing student success strategies to support persistence, retention, and completion.

Special Working Conditions

Will be required to travel to assigned feeder high schools to discuss ACE and HOL. Hours may vary, with occasional Saturday and evening hours needed.
