This is an In Office position - FT Handle personal injury case files from start to finish Evaluate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients Draft, review, and modify claims, motions, discovery responses, demand letters,pleadings, subpoenas, memorandums, and other legal documents Research case law and premises liability, and gather insurance policies, medicalexpenses, medical records, and other evidence relevant to the case (preferred experience with Westlaw) Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, insurance company adjusters, supportingwitnesses, and medical providers to gather information Negotiate suitable agreements offers and appropriately settle on the clients’ behalf Make court appearances at hearings and, trials, attend mediations, depositions, and litigation throughout the entire state of California. Document and update the status of all case files in case managementsystem (Preferred experience with CasePeer) Manage a team of personal injury paralegals, legal assistants, case managers, litigationparalegals, and legal secretary Track work calendar, including but not limited to, appointment and court deadlinespursuant to the California Code of Civil Procedure Calculate costs and compensation totals in support of drafting settlement breakdowns topresent to client and insurance providersRequirementsJD, passed Licensed and admitted to the California State BarBenefitsSalaryBenefitsGrowing, Entrepreneurial firm - opportunity to learn & grow
