Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA) Architect to design, implement, and optimize our medical imaging storage and retrieval systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare IT, specifically in medical imaging informatics and enterprise-level archive solutions.As our VNA Architect, you'll be the mastermind behind our cutting-edge medical imaging storage and retrieval systems. You'll break down silos, connect the unconnectable, and make seamless image access a reality across our entire healthcare network.

Qualifications:

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, or related field or Experience in Lieu of Education - Preferred 5 years of experience in healthcare IT, with at least 3 years focused on VNA or enterprise medical imaging solutions. or SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE 1. In-depth knowledge of DICOM, HL7, and IHE integration profiles.2. Strong understanding of storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and cloud-based solutions.3. Experience with major VNA platforms (e.g., Hyland Acuo, IBM Watson Imaging, Merative, Philips IntelliSpace).4. Familiarity with PACS, RIS, and EMR systems and their integration with VNA.5. Knowledge of healthcare privacy and security regulations (HIPAA, HITECH).6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.7. Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications:1. Certifications such as CIIP (Certified Imaging Informatics Professional) or equivalent.2. Experience with AI and machine learning applications in medical imaging.3. Knowledge of healthcare workflows and clinical operations.4. Project management experience or certification (PMP).

Essential Functions:

Design and oversee the implementation of VNA solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing PACS, EMR, and other healthcare IT systems.

Develop strategies for data migration, ensuring smooth transition from legacy systems to the VNA.

Create and maintain system architecture documentation, including network diagrams, data flow charts, and integration schemas.

Collaborate with clinical staff, IT teams, and vendors to ensure VNA solutions meet both technical requirements and clinical needs.

Implement robust data security measures to protect patient information and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations.

Optimize VNA performance, scalability, and reliability to support growing volumes of medical imaging data.

Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for the VNA system.

Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry standards in medical imaging and storage solutions.

Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members.

Participate in budget planning and vendor selection processes for VNA-related projects.

Architect groundbreaking VNA solutions that make radiologists and clinicians say "Wow!"
