Position Summary:

The Recruiter is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring a seamless and efficient hiring process. This role involves identifying, attracting, and selecting top talent to meet the company's staffing needs while ensuring a positive candidate experience. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of recruiting strategies, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This is an in-person position working in our Southfield, MI office.

Essential Responsibilities:

Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.

Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job posting, resume screening, interviewing, and candidate selection.

Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide guidance on recruitment best practices.

Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, and networking events, to identify potential candidates.

Organize and host job fairs, attend community events, and visit colleges to attract potential candidates.

Build and maintain relationships with universities, professional associations, and other talent pipelines.

Maintain and update the applicant tracking system (ATS) to ensure accurate and up-to-date candidate information.

Ensure a positive candidate experience by providing timely and constructive feedback throughout the recruitment process.

Conduct reference checks and background screenings for potential hires.

Extend job offers and negotiate terms with selected candidates.

Coordinate the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.

Provide regular reports on recruitment metrics and progress.

Monitor and analyze recruitment metrics to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Collect data on employee turnover rates, reasons for departure, and demographic information. Use this data to identify patterns that impact retention.

Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in recruitment and talent acquisition.

Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.

Additional Responsibilities:

Assist with the development of job descriptions.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

3-5 years of recent experience with full cycle recruiting and/or Talent Acquisition.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

Strong understanding of recruitment processes and best practices.

Strong knowledge of recruitment techniques and tools.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.

Strong attention to detail.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to build and maintain relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders.

Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

Computer Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.

Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint.

Willingness to learn new software as needed.

Certificates and Licenses:

Must have and maintain a current valid driver's license and pass the Salvation Army Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR).

Complete the Safe From Harm Training and keep current as needed.
