DHA Overview

The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is a joint, integrated Combat Support Agency that enables the Army, Navy, and Air Force medical services to provide a medically ready force and a ready medical force to Combatant Commands during peacetime and wartime. Established to enhance the delivery of integrated, affordable, and high-quality health services, the DHA supports Military Health System (MHS) beneficiaries and drives the integration of clinical and business processes across the MHS. The agency plays a pivotal role in ensuring military personnel and their families receive comprehensive healthcare, thus maintaining operational readiness and overall force health protection.

Position Overview

Pantheon Data is seeking a

Senior Solutions Architect

to support a major DHA Innovation Program. This role will lead the design and implementation of innovative health IT solutions. This role involves developing data architecture strategies, ensuring alignment with program goals, and fostering the adoption of cutting-edge technologies to enhance healthcare delivery. The Senior Solution Architect will work closely with the Program Manager, Project Managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of health IT solutions.

ResponsibilitiesReport directly to the Program Manager and lead the architecture and design of health IT solutions for the program, while working with Executive Management and Client.Develop and implement architecture strategies that align with program goals and objectives.Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and solutions that can drive innovation in healthcare delivery.Design and oversee the implementation of scalable, secure, and interoperable health IT systems to include develop data models, data flows, and data integration strategies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration and alignment of IT solutions with business processes.Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies to support decision-making.Develop and maintain architecture documentation, including blueprints, roadmaps, and technical specifications.Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams throughout the development and implementation phases.Ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies, and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, DoD directives).Prepare and present architecture reports, updates, and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders.Foster a culture of innovation by promoting best practices and new technologies within the organization.Mentor and support junior team members in developing their technical and architectural skills.Required Skills and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 15 years of experience in data management, data architecture, solution architecture, with a focus on health IT or a related field.Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale health IT solutions.Strong knowledge of architecture principles, methodologies, and frameworks.Proficiency in health IT standards and technologies (e.g., HL7, FHIR, EHR systems).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.Proficiency in architecture tools and software (e.g., Enterprise Architect, Visio).Experience with cloud computing platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure).Experience with AI/ML.Strong project management and organizational skills.Preferred Skills and Experience

Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.Certification in architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman Certified).Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Data Analytics) preferred.Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence and guide stakeholders.Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry trends and advancements.Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations, such as HIPAA and FDA guidelines.Active DoD CAC or Active DoD Clearance.

Work Location:

San Antonio, TX -Remote

*The Government reserves the right to change where this work will be performed, and light travel may be requested occasionally. Ideal cities and states with access to Government facilities are: Falls Church, VA, Washington, DC, San Antonio, TX, and Aurora, CO

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $175,000-225,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
