DHA Overview

The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is a joint, integrated Combat Support Agency that enables the Army, Navy, and Air Force medical services to provide a medically ready force and a ready medical force to Combatant Commands during peacetime and wartime. Established to enhance the delivery of integrated, affordable, and high-quality health services, the DHA supports Military Health System (MHS) beneficiaries and drives the integration of clinical and business processes across the MHS. The agency plays a pivotal role in ensuring military personnel and their families receive comprehensive healthcare, thus maintaining operational readiness and overall force health protection.

Position Overview

Pantheon Data is seeking a

Business Analyst

with a background in data-centric product development who is technically proficient and eager to learn. A successful candidate should have a history of documenting, analyzing, and understanding business processes and requirements for solutions that support innovation, data science, and full-stack data analytics. They will be able to communicate clearly and effectively with engineering staff and non-traditional technical team members (e.g., project managers, client teams, and executive teams).

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the team to ensure solutions meet customers' business needs and requirements.

Work with clients to evaluate current business processes and anticipate functional requirements.

Analyze requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing business systems.

Confer with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures and identify problems.

Solicit from management symptoms of problems, formally define the problem, break the problem into component parts, and gather information about each of these parts from a variety of sources.

Support selection of the most appropriate analytical techniques.

Prepare documentation to communicate findings.

Communicate information and insights effectively to cross-functional team members and management.

Perform requirements analysis.

Gather and document critical information about relevant information technology landscape, business processes, and data sources from stakeholder meetings.

Required Skills and Experience

Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Three (3) to five (5)+ years of professional, hands-on experience as an analyst supporting data-driven products.

Excellent documentation facilitation skills.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations.

Ability to work closely with stakeholders to determine acceptable solutions and opportunities for process improvement.

Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively, with shifting priorities.

Positive attitude, self-motivated, organized, and a good problem solver.

Competency using Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, etc.).

Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and organized.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Familiarity with the DoD, Military Health System (MHS) and the DHA is highly desired.

Understanding of advanced technologies and innovative solutions.

Working knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies.

Experience with AI/ML a plus.

AWS (Amazon Web Services) and/or Microsoft Azure knowledge or certification(s) a plus.

Active DoD CAC or Active DoD Clearance.

Clearance Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.

Work Location:

San Antonio, TX - Falls Church, VA - Remote

*The Government reserves the right to change where this work will be performed, and light travel may be requested occasionally. Ideal cities and states with access to Government facilities are: Falls Church, VA, Washington, DC, San Antonio, TX, and Aurora, CO.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $78,000 - 130,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
