JOB TITLE:
A&S Marketing and Communications Intern
JOB PURPOSE:
The A&S Marketing and Communications Intern will gain valuable experience while assisting the marketing and communications efforts for the college of Arts & Sciences. This will include, but is not limited to, assisting with social media, basic design work, prospecting and writing news releases and other duties as assigned. JFNTMP
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Assisting in the management of the A&S social media accounts (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn)Prospect stories and write news releases based on events and the achievements of A&S faculty, staff and studentsAssist in basic design projects to promote A&S initiatives (Posters, flyers, mailers, etc.)Gain experience in email marketing initiatives through crafting messages to A&S constituentsREMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:
This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Current UW Student studying communications and journalism, marketing or related fieldExperience: 1 year internship/work experience in marketing and communicationsDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in basic designExperience writing in journalistic style for press releasesExperience managing, planning and analyzing social media efforts
