DescriptionPosition Summary: Serves as the primary nursing support for the Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program, Lead Monitoring and Reach out and Read program.Qualifications: Demonstrate professional and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to be responsive and perform in a high-paced work environment. Ability to work independently and in a team setting with a positive and professional matter. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow through. Excellent in managing priorities and timelines. Demonstrate prove out-of-the box strategic thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills; strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills and knowledge of medical technology improvements and advancements. Able to work at multi-site locations within Spartanburg, Cherokee, and Union counties.Pay Scale:$1.00/hr addition to base salaryPerformance bonus up to an additional $320/month to be paid quarterly. Performance is graded monthly based on established VFC outcome metrics related to stock, log maintenance, communication, and necessary excursions. These expectations are subject to adjustment based on governmentally- and RHC-set objectives.Compensation for after-hours work effort based on time worked and mileage from home to RHC site.Duties & Responsibilities: Serve as subject matter expert and a resource to leadership in the administration of Vaccines for Children (VFC) Maintain working knowledge of SC DHEC guidelines of V.F.C. program and ensure compliance related, but not limited, to proper storage, handling, and administration of associated vaccines. Receive and appropriately address all V.F.C. vaccines when delivered to a specified location. Knowledgeable and available to address any excursion or emergency that may arise. Coordinates and accepts ultimate responsibility for ordering, reconciliation, deletion (if required), and return all expired V.F.C. vaccines for each location through regular communication with Director of Nursing, Nursing Team Leads, and appropriate clinical providers. Ensures log tag device information is submitted in a timely manner once per week and as requested. Responsible for recalibration of data loggers and required updates every 24 months. Attends Immunization Quality Improvement for Providers (IQIP) meetings and completes necessary reports. Provides annual V.F.C. trainings for employees. Responsible for completing monthly lead reports for 750 S. Church St. and Gaffney RHC locations. Responsible for completing biannual reach out and read reports for each office. Ensures inventory of reach out and read books are adequate at each required location and ordering as necessary. Participates in continuing education activities and required contact hours.RequirementsEducation: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.Licensure: South Carolina Licensed Practical NurseCertification: Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.Experience: One to two years' experience in medical facility/practice
