We are looking for nurses with upbeat, welcoming personalities who enjoy helping people, can anticipate their emotional and medical needs, and ensure that the health and physical well-being of others are being met. You are a nurse who is comfortable dealing with cultural differences and handling any situation with ease, professionalism, and purpose-driven patient service.
In collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team, you will provide comprehensive medical oversight to include developing a plan of care based on patient assessment/evaluation, and consulting with physicians and other healthcare professionals for quality continuum of care.PART-TIME, $55/HOUR; | FLEXIBLE SCHEDULES | The Bronx and Manhattan
Participate in pre-admission screening and development of discharge plansUpdate medical diagnosis and changes in plan of care into electronic health recordReview and update nursing service plans semi-annually based on evaluations and physical assessmentsAdvocate appropriately and professionally on behalf of each individual for the use of community resources
Qualifications:IV. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEEducation: Registered Nurse licensed to practice in New York StateExperience: Specialized training in I/DD and/or one-year experience in community health careservices? AMAP trainer? CPR and First Aid TrainedV. Preferred QualificationsInterprets relevant information to resolve problems. Effectively balances considerations andalternatives to make sound decisions.Handles unexpected situations by responding effectively to challenges, deadlines and emergencies.Copes adequately with stress on the job.Provides timely, accurate and clear documentation according to established policies andprocedures.Applies time management skills to work effectively within given deadlines. Carries out orders anddirectives. Organizes own time and prioritizes workload effectively. Uses resources wisely.Willingness to initiate new ideas.
