Surgical Nurse (Part Time),

a nurse who will work in our Ambulatory Surgery department at South Kansas City Surgicenter a member of Prime Healthcare. As a Surgical Nurse or OR Nurse you will specialize the care of patients undergoing surgical procedures in a surgery center. Their responsibilities will be for intraoperative care of the surgical procedure.Shifts Available:

(No Call)**If you are a Registered Nurse with experience in the Operating Room (OR) or Surgery you are encouraged to apply!Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):conduct pre-procedure assessments to evaluate patients' medical histories, current conditions, and any potential risks associated with the procedureprepare the operating room, which may include setting up equipment, positioning devices, medication, specimens, and/or implantstransfer and position the patient on the operating table, ensuring safety and comfort of the patientduring the procedure, assist the healthcare provider by preparing the patient, organizing supplies and equipment, and providing support as needed, they may also prepare local anesthesia or medications as directed by the providermaintain knowledgeable of each phase of the peri-operative process and perform safe patient care throughout the entire peri-op patient experience

Qualifications:Education and Work Experiencecurrent and valid state RN Licensecurrent BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain currentcurrent ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain currentcurrent PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain currentminimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job trainingCertified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferredBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred#LI-JJ3
