Description
BETA is seeking for an experienced
Senior Stormwater/Civil Project Engineer
to support our Water, Wastewater, Stormwater, Civil Site, and Water Resources Team. The position will interact with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals in the New England area and will provide leadership and client development specifically in water resources engineering, watershed planning, construction management, civil infrastructure design, and permitting. This team of professionals comes together to create innovated design solutions for our public-sector clients utilizing nature-based solutions to improve infrastructure, address water quality issues and mitigate for climate impacts such as flooding. Projects may include: stormwater control retrofits; green infrastructure; land and water resource development and planning; stream and streambank restoration; wetland and buffer restoration; hydraulic and hydrologic modeling; drainage and stormwater studies; and stormwater management permitting including MS4 compliance programs.
Responsibilities:
Perform, manage, and oversee engineering on stormwater planning and design projectsTechnical design lead on concurrent projectsRecommend solutions to engineering issuesManage projects including scope, budget and schedules for detailed engineering planning, design, review and contract documents. Continue project management through construction phases including construction oversightProvide responsive client service through strong and prompt communicationLead/Mentor young professionals Perform business development and manage project pursuitsCollaborate across internal disciplines and office locationsProperly scope, schedule and budget assignments/projectsContinue to broaden technical skills within the chosen disciplineLead team, client and public meetingsGrowth Opportunities:

Skills Required:
Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineeringProfessional Engineer certification required12 to 15+ years of related engineering experience in water resources and/or stormwater projectsDemonstrated strong background in environmental engineering and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling with software programsProject Management experienceKnowledge of and experience with the implementation of MS4 and other NPDES programsSkilled in writing and ability to prepare formal reportsStrong leadership and organizational skillsProficient in AutoCAD, Civil3D and ArcGIS/Pro experienceMust be able to collect field data and measurements including but not limited to roadway, sidewalk, and utility assets; and perform asset inspectionsMust be able to lift/move objects weighing up to 40 poundsMust be able to perform field work in both hot and cold weather (rain and/or snow)Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of timeMust have a valid driver's license and reliable transportationAbout BETA:
