A week in the life of a
Fighter SME includes:All aspects of A/A fighter mission planning and execution of all A/A aspects of ECC operations.Oversee all A/A centric LVC-OT missions that the DTOC produces.Participate as Event Controller for multiple LVC-OT event types while maintaining focus on A/A events to include:Conduct mission briefing, execution and debriefing, and post mission documentation
Provide A/A expertise in support of DTOC mission planning cell to include:
Create scenarios within Environment Generator softwareCoordinate with NOC personnel for ECC set-upTroubleshoot operations related software and hardware issues
Provide academic briefings as coordinated with Training ManagerSupport meetings as DTOC A/A Fighter SME.Advise DTOC Leadership on LVC-OT events and A/A operations related issues.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree and 8-10 years of experience; a combination of education and experience can be used in lieu of degreeSecret ClearanceMinimum three (3) years' experience conducting training in a DMO environmentCurrent or previous Weapons School or Top Gun Graduate, air-to-air instructor pilot and minimum five (5) years operational air-to-air experienceCurrent or previous fighter aircraft pilot or weapons system operator with robust air-to-air backgroundMust be currently or previously qualified in USAF, USN, or USMC fighter aircraft.Must be knowledgeable in 5th Gen fighter employment to incorporate into daily customer mission catalogs and part of SME academics program
