YWCA Cass Clay is recruiting a full-time Volunteer Engagement Coordinator to work 32 hours weekly. The Volunteer Engagement Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, managing, and supporting volunteers to ensure that they contribute effectively to the organization's mission. This role involves coordinating volunteer activities, maintaining volunteer records, and ensuring that volunteers have a positive and fulfilling experience.

Job Duties:** **

Volunteer Recruitment:**

• Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract a diverse group of volunteers.

• Create and distribute promotional materials to advertise volunteer opportunities.

• Conduct interviews and screening processes to assess volunteers' skills and suitability for roles. **

Training and Development:**

• Organize and conduct orientation and training sessions for new volunteers.

• Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance volunteers' skills.

• Ensure that volunteers understand their roles, responsibilities, and the organization's policies. **

Volunteer Management:**

• Schedule and assign volunteers to various projects and events based on their skills and availability.

• Supervise and support volunteers, providing guidance and resolving any issues that may arise.

• Maintain regular communication with volunteers to keep them informed and engaged. **

Record Keeping and Reporting:**

• Maintain accurate records of volunteer activities, hours worked, and contact information.

• Prepare reports on volunteer program metrics, such as participation rates and impact.

• Ensure that all volunteer records are kept confidential and comply with data protection regulations. **

Event Planning and Coordination:**

• Assist in planning and organizing events that involve volunteers.

• Coordinate volunteer participation in events, ensuring that all roles are filled and tasks are completed.

• Provide logistical support during events to ensure smooth operations. **

Volunteer Recognition:**

• Develop and implement volunteer recognition programs to acknowledge and appreciate volunteers' contributions.

• Plan and organize recognition events, such as award ceremonies and appreciation parties. **

Partnership and Collaboration:**

• Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, and other groups to promote volunteer opportunities.

• Collaborate with other departments within the organization to identify volunteer needs and opportunities.

• Represent the YWCA at community events. **

In-Kind Donations**

• Understand agency needs and coordinate community donation drives as necessary.

• Manage organization's Urgent Needs and Amazon Wishlist. **

Other Job Duties**

• Demonstrate professionalism and respect for confidentiality of all programs and participants.

• Prompt and reliable attendance is required.

• Provide current certification in CPR and First Aid.

• Other duties as assigned. **

Qualifications:**

• Associates degree or 2 years' experience in Human Resources, Social Work, Nonprofit Management, Communications, Business, or related field.

• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Suite.

• Meets all background requirements.

• Current driver's license and proof of insurance with insurable driving record.

• An understanding of, appreciation for, and support of the mission of the YWCA Cass Clay; eliminating racism and empowering women. **

Requirements:**

These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions of this position. While performing the responsibilities for this position, the employee is required to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, push, carry and drive frequently. The employee will also be required to twist at waist, squat, kneel, stoop, crouch and reach overhead occasionally. Standing in place and sitting at desk for prolonged periods of time are performed occasionally. Repetitive keying, data entry, wrist motion, and reaching above shoulders are performed frequently. Lifting up to 40 lbs. from shoulder to overhead is occasional, carrying and pulling up to 75 lbs. is performed frequently and pushing up to 75 lbs. is performed frequently.
