Job Description:We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Transmission Line Engineer to join our engineering team in Marietta, Georgia. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with 2-4 years of experience in transmission line design and analysis, particularly using PLS-CADD software. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the design, development, and maintenance of high-voltage transmission lines, ensuring they meet all regulatory and safety standards.Key Responsibilities:

Transmission Line Design: Perform detailed design and analysis of transmission lines using PLS-CADD software. This includes line routing, structure spotting, sag-tension analysis, and optimization of line design for cost and performance.Project Management: Assist in managing projects from concept to completion, including the preparation of construction documents, material specifications, and design calculations. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations as well as industry standards such as NESC, ASCE, and IEEE.Technical Support: Provide technical support during construction, addressing any issues that arise and ensuring that the project adheres to the design specifications.Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering reports, drawings, and technical specifications. Maintain organized records of all design work and project documentation.Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers, project managers, and field personnel to ensure seamless project execution. Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.Qualifications:Experience: 2-4 years of experience in transmission line design and engineering, preferably within the utility or energy sector.Software Proficiency: Proficient in PLS-CADD software for transmission line design. Familiarity with other design tools like AutoCAD or similar is a plus.Certification: Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is required. Candidates with a path toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure will be highly regarded.Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and within a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.Work Environment: Willingness to work fully in-office in our Marietta, Georgia location. Occasional travel to project sites may be required.
