Principal Scientist, Medicinal Chemistry

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORWe are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Principal Scientist/Associate Director to join our multidisciplinary drug discovery team in developing small molecule therapeutics to treat unmet medical needs. The ideal candidate has medicinal chemistry experience, thrives on rigorous experimentation, and has the ability to bring a team together. The candidate will be an integral member of a diverse drug discovery team, with ample opportunity for career development.WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FORIndependently drive medicinal chemistry projectsDesign of drug molecules to advance hit–to–lead and lead optimization programsDevelopment and execution of efficient synthetic routes for target molecules using state–of–the–art synthetic methodologiesParticipation and impact in shaping project strategiesBuilding a strong network across the multifunctional research team and integrate data across proteomics, biology, and other domains, to inform medicinal chemistry strategiesPresentation of results at company meetingsUnderstanding data is critical – stay on top of the latest results, brainstorm with the team about their implications, and help craft new ideas in responseWHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TEAMPeople–first approach.
