Job Summary

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. Department Description

The Pediatric Infusion Center at Mission Bay service the Pediatric Specialty population at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital. The treatments include but are not limited to apheresis, chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, blood transfusions, hydration and electrolyte therapy, injections and blood draws, enzymes and iron infusions, and antibiotics. The center consists of 13 chairs/beds and treatments include research and standard of care infusions. The infusion centers are staffed by Nurses, Medical Assistants, and a Practice Coordinator.

Required Qualifications

Two (2) or more years of recent pediatric nursing experience with at least 1 year in oncology, or 2 years of other directly relevant clinical experience.Recent outpatient Infusion experience administering chemotherapy/biotherapy.Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of CaliforniaCurrent American Heart Association CPR CertificationAPHON Provider Card within 6 months of hire.Must demonstrate observational skills and the ability to set priorities. Ability to function independently and effectively with shifting priorities and considerable pressure.Must be able to function under stress and with strong interpersonal and communication skills.Must demonstrate effective skills in applying hospital standards in area of service, team work, communication, respect for others, and time/priority management. See also Living Pride Standards.Ability to delegate tasks in a style that is consistent with promoting leadership and teamwork, seeking assistance as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Three (3) or more years of Pediatric Oncology Nursing experience.CPHON Certification or other relevant specialty certificationMembership in professional organizations is recommendedPALS

License/Certification

Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of CaliforniaActive American Heart Association CPR Certification
