Responsibilities and DutiesHarkcon is looking for a Senior Cyber Program Manager to support the CISA Cybersecurity Division (CSD). CSD leads the Nation's strategic and unified work to strengthen the security, resilience, and workforces of the cyber ecosystem to protect critical services. The Senior Cyber Program Manager should provide a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills and strategic vision to manage cyber operations within CSD. This position is contingent upon contract award.Role:Lead and manage the Threat Hunting team, providing direction and support to team members.Develop and implement strategies for effective threat detection and response.Ensure alignment of the threat hunting program with organizational goals and objectives.Utilize in-depth knowledge of computer science, information security, and cybersecurity to guide threat hunting activitiesOversee the deployment and maintenance of threat detection tools and technologies.Conduct advanced threat analysis and forensic investigations to identify and mitigate security risks.Develop long-term strategies for enhancing the organization's cyber defense capabilities.Stay updated on the latest cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.Collaborate with other departments to integrate threat intelligence into broader security initiativesEstablish and enforce policies, procedures, and best practices for threat hunting and incident response.Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Develop and maintain documentation related to threat hunting processes and activitiesCommunicate effectively with senior management and other stakeholders regarding cyber threats and the status of threat hunting effortsPrepare and present reports on threat hunting metrics, findings, and recommendations.Promote continuous learning and professional development within the team.Lead incident response efforts during security breaches or cyber-attacks.Coordinate with internal and external resources to contain and remediate incidents.Conduct post-incident reviews to identify lessons learned and improve future response efforts.Qualifications:10+ years of demonstrated experience working in a similar role on a full-time basis10+ years of experience managing or directing an organizational program involving support operational planning through coordination of integrated execution of cyber defense plansBackground in computer science, information security, cybersecurity, or a related fieldMaster's degree in a related field (such as, but not limited to Computer sciences, information security, or cyber security)Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are encouragedStrong verbal and communication skillsMust be a U.S. CitizenAbility to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearanceBenefitsSalary Range: $150,000-$210,000 to commensurate with experience, education, etc.BenefitsThe position includes competitive compensation and a full suite of benefits:Medical, Dental, and Vision insuranceRetirement savings 401K plan with 4% employer matching contributionsPaid Time OffLife Insurance, Short- and Long-Term Disability benefitsProfessional Development opportunities
