PURPOSE

The Marketing Coordinator participates as a member of a team of professional, dedicated employees managing internal and external marketing efforts for Campus Auxiliary Services (CAS) under guidance of the Director. The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating with other marketing and business professionals to implement innovative campaigns for branding, events, promotions, and product launches. The duties include research and development, recording and analyzing data from campaign results to add to future reports, and creating and maintaining visual and written content across the company's various marketing channels, including our website, social media, email, and digital signage to ensure brand uniformity. This position must utilize skills including team-based interaction and project management to develop and implement strategic marketing and communication plans, advertisements, promotions, social media, and other public relations to support the marketing objectives and business goals for Campus Auxiliary Services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSConduct market research to monitor and identify customer trends, competitor offerings and demographic data to reach customers through appropriate channelsUtilize effective marketing and promotional channels, including media platforms to be used to relay product messages to customersReport findings of market trends to the Director and suggest ways to incorporate trends into future marketing initiatives. Investigate opportunities for and assess the appropriateness of the usage of new technologies to optimize CAS.Collaborate with creative teams to come up with branding ideas, graphic designs, promotional materials and develop and edit advertising copyAssist with the implementation of the communications strategy including social media, digital advertising, email, and printCreate, develop, edit, monitor, and publish content for all platforms, ensuring consistency of brand voice while tailoring content to each channelEvaluate the performance of the company's marketing campaigns, promotions, and strategies through evaluating key performance metricsCreate innovative marketing campaigns depending on robust data and present the recommendations to managementCoordinate, organize, and participate in special events at each location in collaboration with the management team and staffOccasionally requires working events that may be on nights and weekendsEstablish and maintain professional relationships with new and existing clients through networking and prospectingHelp with outbound and inbound marketing activities by displaying expertise in certain areas such as events planning, advertising, optimization and content developmentThe Marketing department is a collaborative work environment. Other duties may be assigned to reach individual and organizational goals.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Proficiency in social media management and content creationKnowledge of website, social media, email and other marketing analytics toolsThe ability to create compelling stories through written word or videoProficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative SuiteWorking knowledge of HTML and CSS preferredExcellent project management skills and an understanding of how to manage the priorities of multiple client engagements while meeting deadlinesStrong writing and editing skills with keen attention to detail, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of the businesses various types of contentGood communication and interpersonal skills while working and collaborating with teamsAttention to detail for precise analysis of dataCritical thinking and problem-solving skillsTime management and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasksEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, new media, journalism or related field.Two or more years of professional experience in marketing, communications or journalism ideally within the services/restaurants/hospitality industry.Experience in creating content for multiple social channelsPhotography and videography experience preferredWORK SAMPLES TO INCLUDE WITH SUBMISSION

A portfolio with three written pieces, three social media campaigns or engaging posts, photography samples, and any design project experiencePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
