Job Summary

Under general supervision, manage product portfolio development strategy and execution, provide financial estimate to support overall business planning of the product portfolio. Conduct market research/due diligence for new opportunity or acquisition targets.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate new product opportunities based on scientific merit, clinical efficacy, and market opportunity.

  • Participate in negotiation of new product opportunities.

  • Conduct effective market research and translate that research into new products, product improvements, or line extensions by building effective business cases to enable decision-making.

  • Work with vendors and R&D team to develop, improve product and/or formulation, take the lead in evaluating product samples, interview reps/customers for insight, lead the cross functional team to move projects forward.

  • Establish clinical/scientific evidence needs based on customer insight and work with medical affairs to develop clinical strategy.

  • Organize current evidence for sales/marketing use. Lead or participate in due diligence research for acquisition targets when assigned. Lead supply chain restoration/strengthening plan when assigned.

Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific/technical major or similar and at least 2 years of experience in product management or portfolio development management OR Ph.D. in a STEM field of study and relevant work experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong quantitative/analytical/communication skills

  • Proficient in Excel/PowerPoint/Word.

  • Demonstrates business/financial acumen.

  • Willing to travel up to 20% of the time for business purposes
