Johnson Service Group (JSG) is recruiting for a, Senior Electrical Inspector , for a 12-month contract assignment supporting the UPF Construction Project in Oak Ridge, TN. This onsite role offers a W2 hourly base rate with time and a half for overtime, per diem, and mobilization / demobilization. Our client is targeting up to $85.00/hour for this role.

U.S. Citizenship is required.

Project Overview:
This position will provide support to the Uranium Processing Facility (UPF) located at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN. UPF is a multi-year, multi-billion-dollar project and will be a first-of-its-kind complex for enriched uranium operations. The UPF project works on various schedules with differing start times and may require employees to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and/or night shift pending project needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide project field engineering specialization and expertise with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination.
  • Ensure assigned UPF Electrical based commodities comply with NFPA 70-2014.
  • Your recommendations will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements.
  • Leads preparation of construction drawings and schedules and the design of temporary construction facilities and ensures preparation of "as built" drawings and other job plans.
  • Initiates requisitions for field purchases.
  • Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.
  • Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.
  • Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
  • Develops firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development.
  • Reviews and approves inspection test plans.
  • Coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals.
