Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily oversight and management of Accounting Staff, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, and Payroll functions.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and legal requirements, fostering an environment of growth and engagement among the team.
  • Cultivate management depth to support existing operations and future growth initiatives.
  • Maintain a robust system of internal controls, ensuring compliance with corporate standards and GAAP.
  • Direct the processes of recording, reviewing, and reporting plant performance, emphasizing continuous improvement in accuracy, timeliness, and relevance.
  • Collaborate with plant management to manage capital expenditures, optimizing economic performance, product quality, and associate safety.
  • Oversee inventory management and overall asset control.
  • Manage the plant’s Capital Expenditure Request (CER) process, ensuring effective oversight and control.

Serve as the financial coordinator/director for the plant management team, providing financial performance reports and conducting business case analysis.

  • Oversee the payroll and timekeeping functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) is preferred.
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of formal leadership experience in Accounting or Business Operations is required.
  • 8+ years of accounting experience is required, with a strong preference for manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with enterprise planning software, including inventory management software, is required.
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel, Access, and Word.
