Job DetailsJob Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Permanent Plant Controller to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. The Plant Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial, accounting and manufacturing cost-related activities of the plant. The successful candidate will be a strategic partner to the plant management team, providing financial guidance and expertise to support business decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations of the plant including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Develop and implement financial strategies for the plant, including cost reduction initiatives and efficiency improvements.
- Monitor and control plant assets, revenues, and expenses to ensure financial goals are met.
- Utilize Lean Accounting and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance financial performance and business processes.
- Implement and manage cost accounting systems and procedures, ensuring accurate product costing and inventory valuation.
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing detailed analysis and insight into plant performance.
- Coordinate with corporate finance to ensure alignment with company policies and procedures.
- Manage material management processes to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with plant management team on capital expenditure projects, providing financial analysis and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards.
- Implement and manage SAP systems in the plant to enhance financial reporting and control.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. MBA preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a plant controller or similar role in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting and financial management principles.
- Proven experience with strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience with Lean Accounting and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Demonstrated ability to drive financial performance and make strategic decisions based on financial data.
