Our client is a global manufacturer and distributor of essential medical supplies, including sterile surgical packs that contain all of the disposable items necessary for in-patient and out-patient procedures – from tonsillectomies, C-sections and knee replacements to liver transplants and open-heart surgeries.

Job Title: Facility Maintenance Tech

Job Type: Full-time, Right to Hire

Pay: $20.00- $25.00 per hour. Depending on experience

Shift: Day shift 7:00a - 3:30p, Monday to Friday -- OT as needed

Location: Glens Falls, NY

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and versatile Facility Maintenance Tech to join our team. The ideal candidate will be adept at performing a variety of maintenance tasks, repairs, and improvements across our facilities. From fixing leaky faucets to repairing electrical fixtures, the Handyman will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and appearance of our buildings.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting routine maintenance tasks such as repairing plumbing, HVAC systems, and electrical fixtures
• Patching up drywall and performing minor carpentry work
• Painting and touch-ups as needed
• Installing and assembling furniture, fixtures, and equipment
• Responding promptly to maintenance requests and resolving issues in a timely manner
• Performing preventative maintenance to ensure the longevity of equipment and facilities
• Keeping accurate records of maintenance and repair activities
• Assisting with general cleaning and upkeep of the premises
• Supporting other departments with various tasks and projects as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Proficiency in basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills
• Ability to operate email for communication and reporting purposes
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects and perform tasks requiring manual labor
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Certification or training in relevant trades (e.g., plumbing, electrical)
• Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures
