Job Description

Medline Industries, LP in Northfield, IL is seeking experienced Sr. Business Systems Analyst(s) to determine business requirements and translate them to system requirements in HCM & Payroll modules and Kronos for time & attendance. Individuals will apply advanced theoretical knowledge of subject matter principles and concepts, as well as experience with Workday or PeopleSoft HCM, to perform the duties of the position.

Job responsibilities and duties include:

Responsible for making software configuration changes to support business processes.

Responsible for technical development for approved projects and enhancements.

Responsible for the functional and technical testing of the application (development and configuration) and the support of these applications when moved to production.

Adhere to departmental quality assurance and quality control standards during testing and implementation activities.

Consider data sensitivity and process control to determine security and user authorization impacts.

Work with manager and with corporate auditing to ensure that access to systems and data are authorized only to the proper people.

Analyze production issues as necessary to determine the cause of the issue and determine the necessary course of action for resolution.

Create and deliver user documentation as necessary to ensure proper use of changed and newly implemented efforts.

Consider business processes and system interaction when creating this documentation.

Determine proper delivery method for this communication: e.g., formal training, distribution of soft copy document, etc.

This position has no direct reports and does not supervise the work of any other employees.

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management, Business Analytics, Computer Engineering, or any related IT or Business field of study, plus at least three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in any related position(s) in which the required experience was gained.

In lieu of the above-stated primary education and experience requirements, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management, Business Analytics, Computer Engineering, or any related IT or Business field of study, plus at least five (5) years of post-degree, progressively responsible experience in any related position(s) in which the required experience was gained.

Minimum requirements: Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, or knowledge with the following:

  1. Demonstrated experience in systems/application development and support of one or more of the following: Workday, PeopleSoft HCM, or Payroll functions v9.2.
  2. Demonstrated experience in Workday implementation.
  3. Demonstrated experience setting up and supporting Workday HCM, Payroll and other functions.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge of Custom Reports and Calculated Fields.
  5. Experience with two or more of the following Integration technologies: Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Core Connectors, Workday Studio, or BIRT form layouts.
  6. XML and XSLT.
  7. Business Process Configuration.
  8. Experience with Engine and PeopleSoft Security or Integration Broker gateway.
