*Description:*A state agency is looking for a GIS technical specialist.* *Thisposition works closely with the Program Manager and statecommittee and working group chairs to implement technical projects. TheTechnical Specialist will research technical solutions, create andupdate geospatial datasets, and create online content including ArcGIS Onlineapplications and websites. This position compiles data from multiplesources, automates data edits using scripting or automation tools, and qualitychecks data for publication. This position must have a strongunderstanding of ArcGIS Pro as well as ArcGIS Online tools including ExperienceBuilder, StoryMaps, Survey123, and other applications to create online contentneeded by working groups and committees. This position must be able tocommunicate with working group members to document application or websiteneeds, research solutions to implementation, and report options to the workinggroup. The Technical Specialist must have strong researchskills to find and test potential solutions to working group and committeeworkplan tasks. This position will contact education and private sectorexperts to learn more about solutions and issues and report them to relevantcommittees.Eligibilityrequirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classificationand length of employment.
