This role requires high attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.Duties and Responsibilities:Draft and negotiate advertising agency agreements, influencer and celebrity endorsement contracts, sponsorship deals, and online media buying arrangements.Review and analyze advertising copy for compliance with false advertising laws, claim substantiation, intellectual property issues, and right of publicity concerns.Counsel clients on compliance with contest and sweepstakes regulations.Provide legal advice on price advertising practices and recurring subscription programs.Advise on loyalty and rewards programs, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.Handle disputes about false advertising, unfair competition, and National Advertising Division matters.Collaborate with internal teams to address complex legal issues and provide strategic recommendations.Requirements:Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in advertising, consumer protection, and marketing law.Strong background in drafting and negotiating various marketing and advertising agreements.Proven experience reviewing ad copy and providing compliance advice on various advertising issues.Experience with false advertising, unfair competition, and National Advertising Division dispute work is desirable.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Excellent academic credentials.Certifications:Admission to the Oregon state bar or admission eligibility through reciprocity.Skills:Exceptional legal writing and communication skills.Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.Experience in a large or medium law firm setting preferred.
