University of Arkansas Community College at Hope-TexarkanaSummary of Job Duties:This advanced-level position is responsible for the overall development, direction, and success of the College's external fund-raising and alumni relations program. Responsibilities include cultivating and soliciting public and private gifts, conducting capital campaigns, organizing annual fundraising events, and developing long-range advancement plans.The Director for Institutional Advancement is responsible for:Overseeing fundraising and gift administration.Strengthening the college's bond with the community and identifying new priorities.Shaping and upholding the institutional image and promoting UAHT to the public.Developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing and public relations program.Establishing the inaugural alumni association and launching capital campaigns.Managing the institutional advancement budget.Assisting in planning and coordination of campus-wide special events.Fostering positive community relationships.Assisting with college anniversary celebrations and other special events.Liaising with the UAHT Foundation Board.Supervising staff.Attributes & Characteristics:Ability to conceive, undertake, and implement strategies for development and strategic communications.Exceptional communications skills and a commitment to developing meaningful relationships.Ability to reassess practices and initiate new policies for effective operations.Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills.Knowledge of budget practices and ability to analyze information for reports.Works independently and collaboratively.Maintains sensitivity to diverse backgrounds.Displays an entrepreneurial mindset.Ability to persuade with integrity.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred.Documented experience in development and private fundraising operations strongly preferred.Experience in grant writing and external funding procurement strongly preferred.Demonstrated experience with special event planning preferred.Experience working with private foundations strongly preferred.Experience with marketing and public relations activities preferred.Demonstrated ability to work effectively with external groups.Experience with strategic planning and budget management.Proficient knowledge of databases and technology.Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.A commitment to civic engagement and community involvement.Additional Information:Salary Information:
