Would you like to teach applied lessons at HCC?Teach majors and non-majorsTeach students from non-credit, Gen Ed poolPrepare majors for two public performances per semesterPrepare majors for performance juriesTeach functional pianoThe Music Department is seeking individuals to be included in a pool of adjunct (part-time) faculty for our NASM accredited program. The department chair or area coordinator will review applicants for these positions when a need arises.Work Performed
Faculty are expected to prepare lesson materials, maintain an up-to-date Canvas (Learning Management System) site as required for their course(s) following the department's template, provide timely feedback and grading of student work, attend the required Division and Departmental kick-off meetings, and complete mandatory trainings. Most importantly, faculty will deliver high quality demonstrations and instruction, and be actively engaged with students during the creative process.Minimum Education Required
Minimum Number of Years Experience Required:
Masters Degree or higher OR Bachelors Degree and significant experience. Prior teaching experience preferred.Working Conditions
