Rutgers University- Newark (RU-N), an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, is seeking a Senior Program Coordinator. Reporting to the Assistant Dean, this position provides support for high-profile events associated with the RBS UG New Brunswick program.This position is responsible for and not limited to the following:Coordination of events and programs vital to the success of RBS and the success of our students, including commencement, scholarship administration, and Beta Gamma Sigma.Prioritizes work, resolves routine conflicts and issues, prepares, and implements administrative guidelines and procedures, and provides direction and facilitation.Creates informational materials.Provides general unit support for research, analysis, and proposal data.Prepares, processes, and controls records, statistics, reports, and documents.Performs some fiscal support functions for these events.Oversees special projects, including serving as the Beta Gamma Sigma chapter advisor and assisting with new transfer evaluations, onboarding, and initiatives.Manages all scholarships, awards, and honors for the RBS-NB UG program.Works under general supervision of the Assistant Dean, within established work parameters, with few direct instructions.Supports the office and the team as needed with other events, activities, and responsibilities.Position Status

Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. Flexible work arrangements are not permanent and are subject to change or discontinuation.

Minimum Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of office administration, work organization, coordination, facilitation, bookkeeping, and/or report writing principles and practices.Requires a minimum of two years relevant experience in an administrative function, good communication skills, and computer literacy in the Microsoft Suite (EXCEL, PowerPoint, Outlook, and WORD).Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree and experience with event planning.Experience in working with various student populations in an academic setting.Equipment Utilized
Standard software: MS Office, various home-grown applications. This position regularly uses Degree Navigator, Senior Review Program, Enrollment Database, and MS Office Suite (EXCEL, PowerPoint, Outlook, and WORD).
Physical Demands and Work Environment
