Substitute School Nurse

The Essex Westford School District is seeking on-call RNs to serve as a substitute school nurse.

Essex Westford School District (EWSD) has an opportunity for a substitute school nurse to join the EWSD community. This position's operations include but are not limited to, following all COVID-19 health and safety protocols, triage, physical assessment, implementing health plans, responding to emergencies, and contacting parents, providers, and school staff as necessary.

Pay: $280.00 per day
EWSD offers selected candidates up to a half-day of orientation before serving as a substitute.

Candidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply:
  • Qualified candidates must hold a valid Vermont RN license.
  • Two years of nursing experience is desired. Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Ability to effectively handle stress and resolve conflicts
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of student incidences and records
  • Willingness and availability to work on short notice to cover unanticipated absences strongly desired (e.g.: the morning of an absence)
