This leadership role will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and will play a pivotal role in driving our strategic goals and furthering our mission of providing comprehensive support and services to individuals experiencing homelessness.As the Vice President of Programs, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of the individuals we serve by overseeing a dedicated team of professionals. Your expertise in the housing, homelessness, and social services fields will be instrumental in shaping our programs and services to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.The primary responsibilities of the Vice President of Programs include:Leadership and Strategic Planning:

Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer to develop and implement long-term programmatic initiatives that align with the agency's vision, mission, strategy, and overall objectives.Work closely with the C-Suite to ensure the agency's strategic plan goals are achieved through focused and coordinated efforts.Provide visionary leadership to the agency's Director of Housing, Director of Outreach Community Engagement Services, Directors of Residential Services, Director of Supportive Services, and the Quality Assurance Manager, ensuring their efforts are coordinated and focused on achieving desired outcomes.Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and policy changes related to housing, homelessness, and social services to inform strategic decision-making.

Staff Development and Management:

Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to the positions under supervision.Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the program leadership.

Program Evaluation and Quality Assurance:

In partnership with the Impact and Learning department, establish and maintain a comprehensive program evaluation framework to assess the effectiveness and impact of LifeMoves' programs and services.Collaborate with program leadership roles across all sites and services to gather feedback and incorporate it into program improvements.Offer guidance and support to the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, implementing quality assurance measures to guarantee the highest level of service delivery.Partner with the Vice President of Compliance and Reporting to ensure accurate and timely public contract management, including achievement of specific contracted milestones.

Collaboration and Partnership Building:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community partners, funders, and other nonprofits.Actively participate in collaborative initiatives and coalitions aimed at addressing homelessness and housing issues in the region.Represent LifeMoves in relevant forums, conferences, and public speaking engagements to enhance the agency's visibility and influence in the sector.

Qualifications:At least 10 years of senior leadership experience in the housing, homelessness, and/or social services fields.Proven track record of driving outcomes and achieving strategic goals in a nonprofit or similar organization.Strong knowledge and understanding of homeless services and housing programs, including best practices and current trends in the field.Demonstrated expertise in program development, implementation, and evaluation.Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and inspire a diverse team of professionals.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make data-driven decisions.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, staff, and external partners.Ability to think strategically and innovatively, while also being detail-oriented and organized.Experience in budget management and resource allocation.Familiarity with government funding sources and grant management.Commitment to the mission and values of LifeMoves and a passion for serving unhoused individuals and families in Northern California.Master's degree in a related field (e.g., social work, public administration, nonprofit management) is highly preferred, but not required.We have a comprehensive benefits package, which includes Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending Account, Dependent Care Reimbursement Account, Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, 401K, etc.To learn more about our non-profit organization, check out our website at
