Job Summary:

Journey Electricians will safely and effectively perform preventative maintenance and reparative work orders for assigned equipment and facilities at the Dillard MDF - Armorite Trim site.

Key ResponsibilitiesModels company core valuesPerforms highly skilled electrical maintenance tasks including equipment installationRepair and perform preventative maintenance on electrical machinery; this may include, but not limited to, such equipment as AC/DC motors, drives, pneumatic, hydraulic, conveyors and packaging systems and instrumentation and PLC controlsIn downtime situations, must be able to analyze cause of breakdown with equipmentMust also determine and complete maintenance repairs required to return the equipment to effective operating conditionsFollow and adhere to safety lockout procedures and strictly adhere to plant safety rules as well as follow excellent housekeeping practices to help maintain a clean work environmentMust be able to work independently as well as in a team settingPerforms other duties as assignedRequirements

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GEDMinimum of four (4) years of experience in Industrial Electrician workWilling and able to work overtime, weekends, on-call and rotating shifts and holidaysProficient in the use of hand and power toolsExperience with reading electrical drawings and schematicsTroubleshooting experience, including the use of necessary test instruments such as digital multi-meter, oscilloscope, megger, etc.Experience using a computer for record keeping and documentationAble to work in extreme heat/cold, navigate catwalks and ladders physical ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, which includes climbing stairs, lifting up to 49 pounds, stooping and bendingAbility to communicate effectively and constructivelyComprehension of complex work instructions and documentationAbility to work with mathematical concepts in an industrial environmentTeam orientedWilling and able to learn new jobs and skillsA personal and total commitment to observe all safety rules and regulations including NEC and NFPA70E (including LOTO and Arc Flash)Knowledge of AC/DC motors and motor controlsKnowledge of DC, VFD, and servo drivesKnowledge of single phase and 3-phase power distribution systemsKnowledge of various process instrumentation, including pressure, flow, temperature, level, weight, and moreKnowledge of PLC controls, HMI operator interfaces, and control systems networkingPreferred

Qualifications

Experience with CMMSKnowledge of fire alarm and protection systemsExperienced in pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systemsWorking knowledge of basic industrial mechanical issuesExcellent skills in root cause analysisPrevious experience in Rockwell Software RSLogix5000 and FactoryTalk View Studio (Editor, Me, and SE), AB PowerFlex VFD's and Kinetics Servos, and Ethernet IP networks using AB Stratix switches
