Job Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Accounting Manager, supports accounting staff and performs general office assistance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Scanning and saving documents digitally to proper folder in shared drive.Shredding of aged files TNHA is no longer required to save.Save digital files to proper folders in accounting shared drive.Must be able to perform work duties promptly, and under time constraints.Observes TNHA safety rules and regulations, policies and procedures.Maintains complete confidentiality of all information obtained through professional and client interactions.Performs other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:

Required:

Ability to perform a volume of numerical detail with speed and accuracy, to make moderately difficult mathematical computations with and without mechanical assistance.Good organizational skills and keeping records in a systematic, neat, and legible manner.High school graduate or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) recipient.Some work experience with a PC using common software applications and general office equipment.Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.Valid Alaska Driver's License that meets TNHA insurance criteria.Preferred:

Alaskan Native/American Indian (member of federally recognized tribe).Ability to speak and/or understand conversational Inupiaq.Two years of work experience with HUD accounting and procurement practices and procedures.

Physical Demands: This role primarily involves sedentary work, including sitting for extended periods, using a computer, and occasional light lifting (up to 20 pounds). Visual acuity for reading and using a computer is required.

Work Environment: The work environment is a typical office setting with standard lighting and temperature conditions. The noise level is generally low to moderate.
