Job Overview – Accountant:Our client seeks a dedicated Accountant in Boston, MA, to support the general accounting, financial, tax, and compliance reporting requirements. This hybrid role involves preparing financial statements, investment accounting, statement reconciliations, and company close for all legal entities.Location:

Boston, MA (Hybrid)Compensation:

$75,000 - $83,000/year + bonusResponsibilities as the Accountant Include:

Financial Reporting:

Prepare journal entries and perform balance sheet and income statement reconciliation and analysis.Expense Management:

Handle corporate underwriting expense exhibits, including accruals, accounts payable, and allocations.Investment Accounting:

Oversee investment accounting, reporting, compliance, and performance review.Regulatory Reporting:

Assist with financial reporting to NAIC and other regulatory entities, including supplemental filings.Audit Facilitation:

Support annual Statutory and GAAP audits, including financial statement preparation.Tax Compliance:

Introductory understanding of Federal and State tax reporting and compliance.Fixed Assets Management:

Maintain fixed asset and depreciation databases.Qualifications for the Accountant Include:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.Experience:

1+ year of accounting experience, corporate or public, with GAAP experience.Skills:

Strong attention to detail, excellent time management and organizational skills, and proficient in MS Office applications.Attributes:

Self-motivated, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
