By The University of Memphis8/29/2024The University of Memphis Office of Undergraduate Admissions & Orientation is searching for talented, engaging, high energy professionals to join our Tiger recruitment team! This position is essential to the recruitment and enrollment of undergraduate students. It directly aligns with the university’s goal to enroll more high-quality undergraduates from out-of-state markets. The role of an Admissions Counselor is to build relationships with high school students and school counselors in an effort to enroll them at the UofM. This is an integral component of our overall strategic recruitment plan.Duties & Responsibilities
Develops and manages pool of prospective students in out-of-state markets.Plans and implements effective recruitment strategies utilizing market research and ongoing trend analysis to set goals and monitor progress.Creates strategic partnerships with education constituents, including counselors, principals, University of Memphis alumni, and parents.Communicates with prospective students in person, by phone, and mail; counsels prospective students regarding enrollment to the UofM, including admissions requirements, financial aid, and other topics.Assists in the planning, organizing, and supervision of regional recruitment programs and UofM partnership programs and events, including management of school counselor visit programs and regional recruitment events.Coordinates recruiting activities with university and educational partners such as UofM alumni and others; develops initiatives to promote and encourage diversity that reflects the goals of the institution and enriches the education experience for all in the UofM community.Utilizes institutional and partner data reports to formulate and execute yield outreach focused on student enrollment.Assists in preparing and facilitating campus recruitment and yield events and New Student Orientation.Performs other related duties as assigned.Additional Info
