The primary purpose of the Account Resolution Counselor is to assist non-enrolled students with creative solutions for their past due balance with the university and to encourage re-enrollment when appropriate. The Counselor will assure the accuracy of accounts, seek resolution with students, submit accounts to collection agencies, and provide excellent customer service to both students and agencies.Duties and ResponsibilitiesIn house Collections:
Conduct initial account balance verification upon student completion or withdrawal from the universityProvide options to allow students to make payment arrangements for account balances using defined procedures
Track students through referral to collection agencies upon discontinuation of in-house collection efforts
Determine the appropriate student listSubmit accurate information
Timely responses to external inquiries including transcript requests and agency balance verificationsCommunicates effectively and provides timely follow-up to ensure excellent service is provided to both internal and external customersFoster informative, efficient, friendly, accurate and customer-centered relations with students in the collections processMaintain accuracy of write-off subsidiary in relation to agency recordsQualifications:
