The Technical Designer, Video is responsible for researching, specifying, designing, integrating, and commissioning entertainment video systems in support of TAIT Group projects to provide end-to-end solutions for our partners.
Our global multidisciplinary team works with clients in the realms of Live, Location Based Experience, Brand Experience, and Placemaking to deliver the unforgettable.
Essential Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Design, program and integrate various scales of entertainment systems with an emphasis on video systems designed to meet specific needs of venue, show, or installationExtremely proficient in LED video display and projection technology knowledgeHighly proficient in all elements of video distribution and video signal management practices, inclusive of installation, commissioning, programming and after-sales supportProficient at understanding Architect and Construction level drawingsDeveloping/providing input to design drawings and build documentation which thoroughly details all aspects of the intended designsAbility to work on technical design elements from early concepts with venue design teams through commissioning with sub vendors and project teamsExecute designs through all phases of design and production within company requirements and client performance specificationsOversee integration partners and communicate status to project management and leadership teamsExperience in developing operations and maintenance training and documentationContributor to estimating and budgeting as required for leads and assigned projects, specifically but not limited to video systems as required with supportAbility to manage and coordinate teams of skilled laborParticipation in project scheduling for assigned project phase tasks, inclusive of vendor coordination and schedulingEvaluation of RFPs, bid responses and recommending vendors, suppliers, and integratorsAttention to Detail – Does not let important details slip through the cracks or derail a project.Flexibility/Adaptability – Adjusts quickly to changing priorities and conditions. Copes effectively with complexity of change.Teamwork – Reaches out to peers and cooperates with supervisors to establish an overall collaborative working relationship. Bachelor’s degree in one of the following – Engineering, Architecture, Business Management, Construction Management, Liberal Arts – Theater Design/Technology4 years of experience (or 2 years of experience with a graduate degree) as a Video Designer, with exposure to large project themed entertainment designHighly proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Project, Outlook, Adobe Pro, AutoCAD, and SketchUpTAIT Traits
