Claims Litigation Attorney

An exciting opportunity to join an in-house expanding legal team for a well-established and successful company offering a great culture, commitment to legendary service and competitive compensation package.We are seeking an experienced Claims Litigation Attorney to join our team. The successful candidate will analyze cases to determine facts, develop legal theories and strategies, identify potential exposure, develop and implement discovery plans, and prepare for court proceedings. This is a remote/hybrid position, with responsibilities including both managing a large caseload with minimal supervision, and providing legal opinions, advice, and guidance to management and Claims personnel.Responsibilities:

Analyze cases to determine all pertinent facts and develop legal theories/strategies in the defense of lawsuits.Identify potential exposure to policyholders or the Exchange.Develop and implement appropriate discovery plan and motions, as needed.Prepare for, attend, and defend all court proceedings related to cases, including trials and arbitrations.Regularly communicate with policyholders and claims representatives regarding case developments.Prepare and present legal opinions on claims issues.Participate in negotiation and settlement of cases with outside parties/entities.Provide assistance in handling other attorneys’ files as needed.Prepare and present training programs for attorneys and Claims staff.Requirements:
