Location: Port Saint Lucie, FloridaAs the Director of Finance at Communities Connected for Kids, you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. This position monitors and provides oversight to ensure financial accounting, reporting, analysis, and the vouchering of client-related services meet federal, state, and community-based care requirements and allow for accurate and maximized federal financial participation. This position includes the following essential functions:Supervises Eligibility Department, Finance, and Master Trust Specialists.Reviews monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and fairness.Oversees financial functions of CCKids’ Finance Department including accounts payable, month-end closing, journal entries, and DCF monthly invoices and reporting.Works closely with Independent Auditors, DCF Contract Manager, and DCF Desk Reviewers providing information needed during audits and reviews and responds as needed.Serves as the agency expert in funding streams and the State approved web-based system as they relate to eligible client services within multiple DCF programs.Oversees all aspects of the Eligibility Determination Unit ensuring all work is accurate, timely, and in accordance with federal, state, and community-based care requirements.Provides technical assistance on the completion of all eligibility forms.Provides technical assistance regarding the Relative Caregiver ACCESS process.Oversees the processing and approvals of foster board, adoption subsidy, RTI stipend batches, Respite payments, group home invoices as well as any ancillary client-related payments in the State approved web-based system.Processes Independent Living/PESS requests for Aftercare services.Attends staff meetings, in-service training, and other necessary meetings, staffings, or conferences. Requires periodic travel.Ensures new staff orientation (CCKids and Case Management staff [post Pre-service training]) on eligibility determination and Master Trust policies and procedures.Foster care duties include editing licensed provider services upon licensing approval, editing unlicensed “other” services i.e.: respite, bed holds, etc. to providers and/or clients, building non-family safety licensed providers and completing fiscal approval for all paid placements.Adoption duties include creating out-of-home placement for pre-adoptive placements, closing out-of-home placement at finalization, and creating out-of-home service for adoptive child at finalization.FSFN fiscal duties include checking dispositions, checking the number record, and manually checking system input and system-generated payment requests.Oracle duties include uploading and processing payments from FSFN, reconciliation of FSFN transactions to Oracle, processing weekly check runs, and month-end close processing and reporting.This list of essential functions is not intended to be exhaustive. CCKids reserves the right to modify this job description to ensure compliance with the actual job requirements.QualificationsEDUCATION:Required: Bachelor’s degree in general business, accounting, finance, or related field from an accredited school or university.Preferred: Master’s degree in general business, accounting, finance, or related field from an accredited school or university.EXPERIENCE:Required: A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in a nonprofit organization, accounting, or finance.Preferred: Prior experience in child welfare, Medicaid, and/or FSFN.Apply for this job:
