Aireon is growing and we are looking for a Human Resources Coordinator who is local to the DC, MD, VA (DMV) area to join our Human Resources team to help us grow even faster. This position is hybrid and reports to the Sr. Director of Human Resources.In this role, you will help organize, coordinate, and be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the HR department with matters relating to employment, compensation and benefits, performance, and employee relations.What You'll Do:

Maintain employee records and data in the HRISOnboard new hires and coordinate new hire orientationAssist with performance management proceduresGenerate and submit reports on general HR activityRespond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistanceHelp plan and coordinate company eventsAssist in administering health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminationsSupport additional ad hoc HR projectsExperience & Education Requirements / EEO

Required Qualifications:

1-2 years of experience in Human ResourcesWorking understanding of human resources principles, practices, and proceduresExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesAbility to handle data with confidentialityExcellent interpersonal skillsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareDesired Qualifications:

Human Resources certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.)Experience using Workday, ADP WorkforceNow and iCIMSBachelor's Degree in HR or related fieldAbout You:

In the first month we'll expect you to:

Understand Aireon's mission, vision, core values, and business goalsGet acclimated to your role and train with your managerUnderstand the organizational structureFamiliarize yourself with HR systems - Workday, ADP WorkforceNow, iCIMS, AwardcoDive into learning the company structure, HR processes, and current HR initiativesAt 3 months we'll expect you to:

Understand ADP WorkforceNow, Workday, iCIMS, AwardcoUnderstand recruiting, onboarding, offboarding and benefits processesAssist with benefit enrollments and changesParticipate in coordination of new hire orientationAssist with onboarding employeesMaintain employee records (HRIS platforms and SharePoint)At 6 months we'll expect you to:

Fully understand HR policies and practicesCoordinate new hire orientationOnboard new employeesAssist in offboarding employeesHelp administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminationsDocument HR policies and processes as requiredAssist in roll out of employee morale initiativesPlan, budget, and manage company eventsProvide support on other HR projects as neededAt 12 months we'll expect you to:

Own the day-to-day operations of the department and have a full understanding of all aspects of your role and responsibilities with little to no guidanceAbout the Team:

Currently a team of 4 - located in McLean, VA and remote in IndianaThe team uses Microsoft Office tools for collaboration and communicationWe conduct weekly team meetings, one-on-one syncs and check-ins as neededPerks and Benefits:
