We are seeking a detail-oriented Documentation Specialist with 2-4 years of experience in preparing technical documentation. The ideal candidate will possess strong research skills and the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly documents. This role involves coordinating the collection, interpretation, and dissemination of technical documentation in support of communications and information systems projects.Key Responsibilities:

Technical Documentation:

Coordinate and participate in the collection, interpretation, writing, and dissemination of technical documentation related to communications and information systems projects.Data Management:

Establish procedures for data acquisition and administration, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of collected information.Content Creation:

Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and readable documents that can be easily understood by both technical and non-technical audiences.Manuals and Guides:

Write and edit procedural manuals for end-users, ensuring that instructions are accurate, comprehensive, and easy to follow.Online Tutorials:

Create and maintain online tutorials and learning materials to support user training and ongoing education.Quality Assurance:

Review and revise documents to ensure they meet organizational standards for clarity, accuracy, and completeness.Collaboration:

Work closely with technical teams, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to gather the necessary information for documentation.Qualifications:

Education:

Associate’s degree in business, information systems, or a related field.Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Experience:

At least two (2) years of experience in preparing technical documentation, including research in technology, information systems, and communications specialties.

Skills:

Strong technical writing and editing skills, with an ability to create clear, concise documentation.Proficiency in documentation tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, content management systems).Excellent research skills, with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical information.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in creating online tutorials or interactive learning materials.Familiarity with technical standards and documentation best practices.Knowledge of information systems and communications technologies.
