This year observing the 120th anniversary of its establishment, the Diocese of Fall River also encompasses numerous schools, ministries, services and programs that serve its faithful as well as the community-at-large. The Most Reverend Edgar M. da Cunha, S.D.V., leads the Diocese as the Eighth Bishop of Fall River.Job Summary:The Diocese of Fall River is seeking a talented and passionate Catholic Writer and Social Media Expert to join our team in this part-time capacity. This role combines creative writing with strategic social media management to enhance our online presence, engage our audience, and support our mission. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Catholic teachings, excellent writing skills, and proven experience in managing social media platforms. It is anticipated that the position will require between 10 and 20 hours per week.Key Responsibilities:Content Creation:

Develop and write engaging, spiritually enriching content for a weekly blog along with occasional articles and other written materials.Create compelling and faith-based posts for social media platforms, including Facebook, X, Instagram, and LinkedIn.Craft content that aligns with Catholic teachings and values, ensuring theological accuracy and relevance.

Social Media Management:

Manage and optimize social media profiles to increase engagement, reach, and followers.Develop and implement a content calendar and social media strategy to drive traffic and enhance online visibility.Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and interactions on social media platforms.

Campaigns and Outreach:

Design and execute social media campaigns to promote events, initiatives, and special projects.Collaborate with other team members to coordinate content with ongoing programs and campaigns.Analyze social media metrics and insights to measure effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed.

Community Engagement:

Foster online community engagement by encouraging discussions, sharing inspirational content, and addressing questions or concerns.Build relationships with influencers, bloggers, and other relevant online communities.

Research and Trends:

Stay current with trends in digital media and social media best practices.Conduct research to understand audience preferences and tailor content accordingly.

Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree is preferred, in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Theology, or a related field.Strong knowledge of Catholic doctrine, teachings, and traditions.Proven experience in writing and editing content with a portfolio of published work.Proficiency in social media platforms, tools, and analytics.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Familiarity with SEO best practices and digital marketing strategies is a plus.Practicing Catholic that possesses a demonstrated understanding of the Catholic Church and its teachings.Preferred Skills:Experience with graphic design and multimedia content creation.Knowledge of content management systems (CMS) and email marketing platforms.Passion for evangelization and outreach within the Catholic community.Physical Requirements:Sitting:
