We evaluate all candidates based on their merit, without any prejudice towards race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, sexual orientation, national origin, or any other category protected by law.Joining Bridge Investment Group as Corporate Counsel, under the direction of the Deputy General Counsel, you will assist across a variety of legal matters for the Company’s corporate and multifamily property management operations, including dispute resolution, enterprise-wide and asset-level contract matters, landlord/tenant, employment/HR, as well as overseeing the Company’s pending pre-litigation and litigation matters either through direct representation or management of outside counsel engagement.Essential Functions of CounselWork closely with the Company’s property management affiliate and other business unit leaders to advise on property management best practices and requirements to comply with all applicable state and federal law.Review and, as necessary, update property management agreements, property management policies, enterprise and asset-level business contracts with both national and local vendors, interpret contract language and advise on contractual obligations.Manage all aspects and stages of pre-litigation dispute resolution, including advising on the merits of various business disputes and overall dispute resolution strategy, drafting and responding to demand letters, and negotiating settlements.Oversee the Company’s pending litigation, including overseeing outside counsel retained to represent the Company, assisting with all aspects of the adversarial process, including discovery, document review, mediation, settlement negotiations and trial preparation as necessary.Work closely with the Company’s risk management team and insurance third-party administrator to track litigation analytics and identify efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.Work with the Human Resources department and, as necessary, outside counsel to advise on various employment and HR matters, including, but not limited to, the drafting and enforcement of employment, restrictive covenant, and separation agreements.Work with, and supervise designated work of, department paralegals and assistants.Contribute to the planning, development, and implementation of best practices and process improvements inside the legal department and in coordination between business units.What you should bringMinimum of 3-5+ years of licensed legal practice (private practice and/or in-house).A blend of experience with matters related to litigation, employment law, commercial contract review and negotiation and landlord/tenant disputes preferred.Practical-minded business attorney who is a team player, enthusiastic, energetic, proactive, responsive, and service-driven.Proven experience building strong personal relationships with leaders across multiple business units with competing priorities.Proven ability to work cross-culturally and bridge cultural barriers and communicate effectively at both local and global levels.What we offerGenerous base salary and bonus programFull benefits suite including 401K, above-average PTO, Parental Leave, and Medical, Dental, VisionAccess to benefits concierge serviceAccess to Mental Health & well-being serviceBe part of a culture that is truly open door, with access to mentorship, leadership training, career advancement, and innovationOpportunities to join employee resources groups and participate in events hosted by the Bridge Women’s Network, Black Inclusion Group, BIG Pride, Allies for AAPI, Unidos Latino and Hispanic Group, Bridge of Honor Veterans, and Advocates for AccessibilityOpportunity to be involved in community outreach and charity events
