Join our diverse team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration heavy-lift launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to Earth’s orbit and beyond. Engineered with a reusable first stage and a seven-meter payload fairing, New Glenn is building the road to space.

As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will be responsible for test campaigns in support of manufacturing and qualifying flight avionics hardware. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of developing safe and robust avionics for the New Glenn launch vehicle.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Minimum of B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related areas6+ years of hands-on experience developing and/or testing electronic systems or devicesSound knowledge of electronics, electrical circuit fundamentalsCognizant of EMI/EMC standards, IEC & automotive standards or equivalentFamiliar with hardware development life cycleExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsPassion for hands-on problem solving and avionics integration and testAbility to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programsAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusionMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Preferred Qualifications:

7+ years of integrated test and operations experience (aircraft, launch vehicles, spacecraft, racing teams)Experience managing sophisticated projects combining hardware, firmware, and softwareExperience leading the development and testing of real-time embedded systems with a focus on modular and extensible architecturesExperience working with PythonFamiliarity with Linux and other Unix-style operating systemsFamiliarity with git, Jenkins, JIRAExperience developing hardware to IPC J-STD-0001xS, IPC/WHMA-A-620x-S, and/or NASA-STD-8739.n standardsExperience with safety-critical systems development (automotive, aerospace, medical, etc.)Compensation Range for WA applicants is $136,800.00-$191,520.00.
