As a key member of our Avionics Systems Engineering team, you will help drive New Glenn to flight as the interface between Avionics and launch vehicle subsystems, empowering a multidisciplinary team of engineers. We engage with various partners, guiding implementation and integration, and gathering verification artifacts to build a rocket. You thrive on solving ambiguously defined problems in a safety conscious environment.You're able to adapt to changing circumstances while being detail oriented and passionate about team and company priorities. We are looking for quick studies, who loves collaborating with skilled and deeply technical teams. People who can handle tough objectives for yourself and the team you are supporting. Team members who deeply enjoy driving teams to bring new systems online in labs and on operational vehicles. This collaboration with other avionics teams will ensure that their component is properly defined, and the interfaces are collected in a technically feasible way. These efforts will help the integrated avionics platform will meet Blue's long-term vision of millions of people living and working in space!Passion for our mission and vision is required!Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, robotics or robotic engineering, computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, systems engineering or related technical field.Hands-on experience in a lab setting working with electrical test equipment: DMM, oscilloscopes, Wireshark, logic analyzers, data analysis.Prior avionics experience in safety critical industry: aircraft, rockets, drones, nuclear, medical devices2+ years of related Systems engineering experience in requirements capture, tracing, and verification planning.Proficient in Python, 2+ years’ experience for verification test automationMultidisciplinary experience, proficiency in engineering skills used to design, develop, and evaluate software/electrical/mechanical/operational systems.Engaging communicator, able to explain difficult engineering concepts to people of other engineering fields: Electrical, Software, MechanicalExcellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a fast paced, dynamic work environmentAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusionMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylumPreferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree in relevant fieldExtensive knowledge of several of the following avionics specialties: Instrumentation, RF, Ethernet networking/AFDX, circuit design, safety critical software, wire harnesses, test equipment, environmental/DO-160 testing.Well versed in safety analyses such as those described in ARP4761, NUREG-0492, NASAAFTH (Functional Hazard Analyses (FHA), Fault Tree Analyses (FTAs))Avionics experience across the entire product life-cycle concept, design, integration, verification, flight test, block upgrades of avionics or space systems.Experience with software tools such as JIRA, Oracle Primavera P6, Cameo, DOORs/DNG, MATLAB/Simulink, Confluence, Git, Creo, Altium, and Windchill.Compensation Range for:WA applicants is $109,980.00-$153,972.00
