The First Review Date for this job is: 8/23/2024ResponsibilitiesManages the Athletic Trainer program within the Office of Competitive Sports, focusing on sideline coverage and care, prevention, evaluation, treatment, and care of athletic-related injuries.50% - Administer sideline care and provide coverage for events, including timely first aid and emergency treatment.20% - Perform administrative tasks, including coordination of athletic coverage for events and teaching First Aid/CPR/AED Certification workshops.10% - Deliver comprehensive, individualized athletic training to optimize performance and provide rehabilitation for injuries.5% - Manage the Athletic training program and engage in professional development activities.5% - Provide athletes with functional movement and performance enhancement training.5% - Serve as summer camp medic and assist in maintaining accurate medical records.5% - Enforce safety procedures and report injuries as required.Required Qualifications:Computer skills relevant to job duties.Advanced knowledge of athletic injury prevention and administration of therapeutic modalities.Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding athletic injuries and treatments.Advanced knowledge of electronic medical records systems.Knowledge of applicable rules and standards of athletic associations.Completion of required training by University Health Services.Ability to work collaboratively with athletes and staff.Advanced skills in verbal and written communication.Knowledge of procurement and budget requirements.Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments.Advanced manual therapy skills applicable to orthopedics and sports medicine.EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:Professional certification required.Hands-on CPR/first aid certification.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Master's degree in related field preferred.SALARY & BENEFITS:This is a full-time exempt career position, eligible for full UC Benefits.
